7. Professional directory of wind farms (Laife Solutions tool)

This section is the privacy notice for the directory of professional contacts in the Repowering tab of the Laife Solutions tool. Version 1.1 of 1 October 2026.

7.1 Who is responsible for this processing

Laife Solutions, a French simplified joint-stock company, represented by its president. Any question or request about this notice: contact@laife-solutions.com.

7.2 What we process, and why

The Laife Solutions tool has a Repowering tab listing French wind farms in operation. Next to the farm’s characteristics, which are not personal data, sits a directory of professional contacts: the people who, at the owner or the operator, are in charge of asset management, operations or the renewal of the installations.

There is a single purpose: letting the tool’s professional users identify the right person for a discussion about a farm’s end of life or renewal. The data serves nothing else. There is no profiling, no scoring of individuals, no resale of the file, and no prospecting on behalf of third parties outside this scope.

7.3 The data processed
  • First and last name.
  • Position held.
  • Company and, where relevant, parent group.
  • Address of the public professional profile, where one exists.
  • Attachment to the farm or company concerned, and the contact’s relevance rank.

No private-life data, no special-category data within the meaning of article 9 of the General Data Protection Regulation, and no data produced by automated processing about the person.

No e-mail address. Since 1 October 2026 the directory holds none at all: they were removed from the database, not merely hidden. Getting in touch goes through the professional profile, where the person chooses whether to reply.

Nor is the name of a project company’s director, taken from the trade register, shown to users, who are referred to the company’s official record in the business register.

7.4 Where the data comes from

Exclusively from public sources: the national trade and companies register, the register of classified installations for environmental protection, the national register of electricity generating installations, operators’ websites and press releases, and public professional profiles. No data is bought from a data broker, and none is obtained by a means the person has not themselves made public.

7.5 On what legal basis

Legitimate interest, within the meaning of article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation: connecting professionals of the same sector, using public professional contact details, for professional use. The balancing test is as follows.

  • The interest pursued is the organisation of an end-of-life sector that is still poorly structured, where the first practical obstacle is knowing who to talk to.
  • The data is professional, public, and limited to what identifies the role.
  • The impact on the person is low: they are contacted in their professional role, about a matter within that role, through the channel they themselves made public.
  • Three measures reduce that impact further: the directory holds no e-mail address at all, clients may not redistribute it, and an objection is handled within eight working days.

7.6 Who has access
  • Users of the tool holding an account, under their subscription or pilot-partner agreement. An addendum to their agreement expressly forbids them from redistributing the directory or using it outside prospecting related to the end of life of wind farms.
  • Laife Solutions, to build and update the base.
  • The application’s hosting provider, on servers located in the European Union. No data is transferred outside the European Union.

7.7 For how long

Every record is reviewed at each quarterly update of the base. It is deleted as soon as the person no longer holds the role that attached them to the farm, as soon as they object, at the latest three years after the last contact, and in any case when the directory is discontinued. The application’s technical logs are kept for six months.

7.8 Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. They are exercised at contact@laife-solutions.com, with no particular formality.

A commitment specific to this directory: an objection or erasure request is handled within eight working days. The record is removed from the base and from future exports, clients are told to remove it from their own copies, and the person is placed on an exclusion list so that the quarterly update does not reintroduce them.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr.

7.9 Updates to this notice

Version 1.1 of 1 October 2026. It replaces version 1.0 of 16 September 2026. Any change is published at this address and flagged in the tool’s Repowering tab.

8. User accounts of the Laife Solutions tool

This section concerns people who hold an account on the tool, at app.laife-solutions.com: clients, pilot partners and administrators.

8.1 Purpose and legal basis

Managing access to the tool and its rights (client or administrator), and keeping the analyses each user saves so they can be found again. Legal basis: performance of the contract between you and Laife Solutions (article 6(1)(b) of the Regulation).

8.2 Data processed

Professional e-mail address, password stored only in hashed form, role, sign-in dates, saved analyses (farms, parameters, results) and an administration action log. This data is provided by you or produced by your use of the tool.

Questions asked to the built-in assistant are sent to the language-model provider to be answered; the tool does not keep them, and the assistant has no access to the contact directory.

8.3 Recipients and hosting

Laife Solutions only. The application and its database are hosted by Render in Frankfurt, in the European Union. The assistant’s language model is provided by Mistral AI and hosted in the European Union. No data is transferred outside the European Union.

8.4 Retention periods

Account and analyses: for the whole duration of the contract, then deletion within three months of its end. Sign-in and administration logs: six months. Accounting records related to the subscription: ten years, kept outside the tool.

8.5 Security

Hashed passwords, server-side sessions, per-user data isolation, encrypted connections, security headers.

8.6 Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, at contact@laife-solutions.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).
